Playing with Surface Design

A swatch of my hand dyed fabric in scarlet, fuchsia, purple and blue was an inspiring canvas for Stitch Play. As a surface design study in color, texture, applique, couching and machine stitch it was an opportunity to say "What if?" and "Why not!"
