Sunset is a fiber art piece from the Silk Threads series.
The fabrics used are all silk remnants, full of frayed edges and loose threads. The silk pieces are needle felted in place, causing the silk to distort and pucker. The stitching adds additional colour, texture and movement.
Sunset, the first in the series, is an abstract fiber art interpretation of the vibrant colours of a sunset on the ocean.
