Bird Quilt with Raw Edge Patchwork

Looking on the bright side of life, this bird character in fabric and stitch is part of a little bird told me series.

The background of the art quilt has raw edge patchwork in various shades of pink with purple, and the bird's body is free-motion stitched in blue. It's a fabric interpretation of the mixed media painting Optimist Bird from the series:

Both birds (perhaps they are cousins!) possess characters that are happy, optimistic and focused on the good to be found in every day.
