Safety Pin Stitched Scrappy Birds

At around two inches each, these little birds are scrappy stitched brooches. The flock was made with many wee scraps of colourful fabric free-motion stitched to create an abstract patchwork body. The addition of wings, beak and bead for an eye brought each bird to life.

Each bird is perched on a safety pin with the addition of a safety pin on the back - both pins are permanently stitched on, allowing them to be attached in a variety of ways to bag, jacket or shirt.

The edges are raw and unraveling for a rough around the edges scrappy attitude.
